Shaping the Future of Mt Gravatt: Brisbane’s New Suburban Renewal Precinct Plan
Brisbane City Council has released the Mt Gravatt Suburban Renewal Precinct Plan, a key initiative aimed at revitalising the Mt Gravatt Centre and guiding the area’s future growth.
Focusing on the Logan Road corridor, the plan sets out a vision to transform Mt Gravatt into a more connected, vibrant, and sustainable urban hub — supporting both housing demand and economic development.
Key priorities of the plan include:
- Increased housing density to accommodate population growth and create diverse living options
- Economic activation, encouraging new business, employment, and retail opportunities
- Improved transport connectivity, including better public transport links and pedestrian access
- Sustainable urban design that prioritises green space, community amenity, and liveability
At Willowtree, we’ve been actively supporting landowners in the area — preparing submissions that ensure their development ambitions and property interests are clearly represented as the plan takes shape.
This is an important opportunity to help shape Mt Gravatt’s future — and ensure good planning outcomes for the community, local businesses, and the broader growth of Brisbane’s middle ring.
